Five years have flown by since the inception of Conaway Geomatics, and what an incredible journey it has been. From humble beginnings to thriving amidst a global pandemic, our company has experienced a whirlwind of growth and success.
The pandemic hit just a year after we opened our doors, and it initially posed a significant challenge. Two large projects that were set to begin in April 2020 were put on hold, leaving us concerned about the future of our company. However, we knew that giving up was not an option. With the support of our industry connections and a dedicated team of five, we pivoted our focus to the California High-Speed Rail project. This opportunity not only saved our business but also allowed us to thrive and grow in ways we never imagined.
As we approach our five-year anniversary, we can’t help but reflect on the lessons we’ve learned and the strength we’ve gained from navigating through the pandemic. Our team has grown to 14 people, with several open positions waiting to be filled. Our work with the California High-Speed Rail Authority has expanded from being a third-tier contractor to being an integral part of the Program Delivery Support team. Additionally, our industry partnerships have strengthened, allowing us to provide Geomatics services for a wide range of projects throughout California, including Railroad and Rail Transit, State and Federal, Transportation, Water Utilities, and the Energy sector.
We are also incredibly proud to have been highlighted in the 2021 California High-Speed Rail Small Business Newsletter. This recognition validated our hard work and dedication. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that we have been once again highlighted in the 2024 California High-Speed Rail Small Business Newsletter. This recognition underscores our continued growth and commitment to the A&E industry. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to many more years of success.
