Shannon Conaway, PLS – Conaway Geomatics, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Shannon is one of the three founders and CEO of Conaway Geomatics. He brings over 30 years of progressive experience in managing large infrastructure survey, mapping and GIS projects. Shannon has expansive experience in developing, supporting and growing groups that achieve outstanding results for clients within the A&E industry.

Shannon began his survey career in the California Army Nation Guard in 1986, where he proudly served 8 years in a field artillery unit. In 1992, Shannon decided to attend California State University Fresno (CSUF) to follow his dream of becoming a California-Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). In 1996, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying Engineering from CSUF and has been licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in California since 1999.

When we asked Shannon why his dream was to become a PLS, he answered “as son of a Professional Civil Engineer, when I visited my father at work we always seemed to be in the field surveying, guess that is what made me love the profession.”

As CEO, the service-disabled veteran and one of our visionaries of Conaway Geomatics, Shannon has a simple vision……create a geospatial company with the right team members, give them the tools and support they need to succeed which will result in a company that can deliver top notch geospatial solutions to meet our clients project requirements.
